Marriage Visas in Cambodia part 2

It seems that there is a work around that you can consider that would be to get a USA K1 visa and then get married in the USA. This would be a good way to go if you were planning to start a family, as the marriage would be legal in the USA, and getting the kids USA citizenship, if that is also part of your plans, should be very easy, even if the birth takes place outside of the US.

Too me is seems that again this was a knee jerk reaction and that they will get the process together so that they can clear the visa quickly. From the local newspapers reporting ,the problem seems to be with marriage brokers from a particular Asian country, and not from the western ones. I would guess though that as the paperwork will need to be reviewed in more detail, that there will be fees tacked on to the process, as soon as we get an idea what they will be we will post them here for you.

I don't know if it will come into play, but logically the USA Patriot Act IMBRA provisions should actually work in your favor if you meet them through a marriage broker or over the internet from the USA as you will have proof in hand to prove that you have been checked out and that you have disclosed any convictions of crimes to your potential partner in their language.
