Credit cards new laws and rants
The credit card companies have been on a role with the new laws coming into effect very soon now they are doing everything they can legally to trap people and get more fees from them or lock them into high rates.
Is security for credit cards getting to be insane or what recently I cannot remember the last time a sale that I did where I did not have to enter a couple of different credit cards because of the security.
below is a email to a company that after they refused the card want me to go out of my way to give them my business.

Tell the security congratulation you chased another customer away. I am tired of having to call every time I try to use my credit card and it gets flagged because I have the unmitigated Gall to try to use it when i am outside of the US Want to do business then do business want to count beans up to you but I am not wasting my time anymore with moronic security protocols that sound good in the board room but do nothing to provide real value to the end user !
Hint that would be the guy with the credit card, not the wanker in the suit!
I don't believe for a milisecound that a $100 sale that is bogus is going to break you guys even if you had a 5 % failure for bad cards you would still be ahead assuming of course that you operate at higher than a 5% profit margin.
Lots of those cards that are bad are just expired or the guy put his mobile # instead of his home # that is on account with the CC companies. If you asked the customer politely after the account was up and running to verify or ask for another card they are going to be more amenable than stopping a transaction because the software doesn't like the ip address or it doesn't match exactly with what the guy put on the CC card app years ago.
I don't buy the bullshit that it is for my protection because its not its for your protection I'm protected by the credit card company.
So you do not get another chance at my business forever, so all of the marketing and branding and advertising that you did to get me to the point where I pull the trigger and enter my CC card is flushed forever!
